The creation and active management of a portfolio of high-quality fixed income securities is an important aspect of wealth management for many clients. Since 1976, we have developed an expertise in generating and effectively managing high quality fixed income portfolios consisting primarily of AA/AAA rated municipal bonds, U.S. Treasuries, Agencies, high-quality corporate and asset-backed bonds.

We believe a portfolio of lower risk, high-quality bonds will generate a secure stream of income, while preserving capital. Portfolios are actively managed taking into consideration macroeconomic factors and individual client needs. We believe that higher investment returns should come from a greater asset allocation to equities, and private investments, not from decreasing bond quality or trading bonds for short-term profits.

In addition, FLI, where appropriate, will recommend an allocation to a diversified hedged absolute return investment strategy. In this regard we have partnered with an investment firm that facilitates our clients’ access to among "best of breed" multimanager hedged investment strategies.
